One of my favourite things to make recently has been a zip pouch! I think they are super useful to have around. I've been using them to keep my sewing accessories organised! 

Each zip pouch has been made from a mixture of cotton material and canvas material for the bottom part. I have lined the inside with either pink or white cotton. There is also a layer of interfacing, to give the zip pouch some structure. 

This is the first item I've made where I've had to sew on a zip! It took a few attempts to get the hang of it but I do feel like I've got the hang of it now.. just about!

I can't believe how long it's been since I last updated my page! Life has been a little crazy since my last post. But I have continued to sew and create, as I find it such good therapy (especially during these times!).

So what have I been up to? 

Well I went through a phase of trying my hand at making a teddy bear. If you check out my Instagram page, you'll see a few of the ones I made. I am really proud of my Harry Potter bear! I love making soft toys and I am planning on continuing this ❤.

I have continued to make cushion covers and I have also tested my skills with a couple of baby rompers/babygrows! (I had my daughter last year, and she is definitely my inspiration and motivation to try new things!).

The baby romper was a great little project and actually relatively easy to do. I used Jersey material which was a different fabric to what I'm used to. But I found using a walker foot, really helped to keep the material in place whilst sewing and stopped it from stretching. 

I love that I am constantly learning with sewing. I can't wait to start sharing my next little projects with all you soon ❤
